The survey sample includes approximately 2400 residents of Kampala, aged 18 to 75. We sampled 70 parishes from the five divisions of Kampala in proportion to the relative population size of the division. Within each parish, we sampled 1-2 villages/locations (LCs), also in proportion to the population. Within each village we used a random walk method to sample 24 respondents, on which half were men and half women. This section describes the demographic characteristics of the respondents, including factors such as educational attainment, age, employment status, and occupation.
